The soonest you can test for HIV is 2-4 weeks after a risk event (e.g. unprotected sex) and you will be asked to test again 12 weeks after the event. Find out more about the window period.
If you’ve had a risk event and have already been tested since then, please only book your follow-up test for 12 weeks from the date of that event. Tests booked within the 12 week window period may not show an accurate result.
